DBop's grandma, D. Johnson, is such a sweet lady. Do you know that type of person that literally glows when she walks in the room? And all you want to do is be next to her because it makes you happy?
This is how I feel about DBop's grandmother. When I was staying with his parents in Idaho a year or so ago, and DBop was in North Dakota, she would come up every once in a while to stay with us. She and I sat on the couch together and she taught me how to crochet. We also got a kick out of the kittens playing with all the yarn we were using. Even though I haven't known her for long, she is one of my favorite people of all time. And that is one memory I will not forget.
The other day, DBop got a phone call from her, saying that she was sending us something. We just got that package in the mail today, which contained this....
An enormous flag (my scriptures are on there so you can see the size of it) crocheted by D. herself, 50 stars and all. I can't imagine how long this must have taken, and the fact that she's over 80 years old, makes it that much more impressive. She makes these blankets quite often and DBop has wanted one for a long time, but was too afraid to ask! Both he and I will cherish this piece of art. Thank you so much Grandma!

That is so pretty! What an amazing woman. I want one!
Dallin's grandmother is the same way and I just love being around her because she makes you truly want to be a better person. I'm glad you have someone like this in your life.
Wow! That is impressive!
That is the coolest thing ever! How thoughtful of her to do that. What a great gift to have from her to share with your kids and to remember her by. I hope you keep it up to so you can make things like this for your kids as well.
