After the ultrasound on Tuesday, we got a call on Thursday from our doctor. Normally, when the nurse calls, everything is fine, but when the actual doctor calls, it's usually not good news. He told me that after the ultrasound for our little boy, he noticed that there was some fluid around the heart. He made an appointment to go see a perinatologist down in Fargo to make sure there was nothing to be concerned about.
We were really nervous this whole week and it's all we could think about. We were just hoping this little boy was okay. The doctor kept telling us there was a 75% chance that everything was okay. But we were still really worried.
We had the ultrasound this morning and the specialist came in and told us that everything was fine. He said that the ultrasound we got last week could have just had the heart pictured at the wrong angle to make it look like there was more fluid than there was. (All that worrying for nothing?) He said we would not need to follow up with him and that everything was perfect. We were so relieved! Now we can go back to being happy and not worried (at least as much).
We know we have been so blessed to have another healthy baby so far. Just going through a few days thinking that something could be wrong is the worst feeling and the worst thoughts entered our heads. But we know we are being watched over and Heavenly Father has really given us so much.

You don't have to look closely at all! Those 3D pictures are amazing! You can pretty much tell just what he looks like. I'm glad you got good news back. What a relief.

I know that feeling all to well of thinking something could be wrong with your baby and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I am so glad to hear everything is ok. And those 3D pictures are amazing!!! I've never seen anything like that, lucky you.

I'm happy to hear he's healthy! When I was pregnant of Sara I had to get like 3 extra ultrasounds because her head was smaller than normal (average). They thought that her head wasn't growing but it ended up being that she just has a little head (like mine). It can be quite difficult to think something can be wrong.
Hope you can now enjoy of the rest of the pregnancy.
those pictures are so cool! congrats again.....it's so neat that you get to see your little boy before he's even born!! Does it make you want to cuddle with him???? Haha
