Time for some yardwork

DBop and I are so excited to be in a house during springtime. There's so much to do and to look forward to. We spent the past couple weekends outside and trying to get rid of all the ugliness around our house. It's been so much fun, well, at least when I wasn't extremely sore!

Here is the front of the house. We pulled tons of weeds, got rid of some really old mulch and tarps that were lain down. DBop is also going to edge the lawn so we can get rid of all the dead grass.

We put some Gerbera daisies in the large pots, planted some shrubs that will grow to about 2 feet each got some solar lights, and put down a new layer of fresh soil.

Here are the daisies, they will be pink.

This is the side of the house, where we walk to the garage. We pulled weeds and laid down the wood planks to separate the grass. We also put solar lights in and I planted 6 flower plants in front of the bushes.
Here's our garden. DBop tilled, framed, got the soil, and pounded the posts in so we can wrap chicken wire around it to keep out the bunnies. The city also comes and picks up all our trash on Friday, so it looks like a war zone.

We have some seedlings started inside and we cannot wait to plant and watch it grow. This is our first garden so I'm hoping too many things won't die. It's so much fun being able to work outside. We love it.
