The other day, I was at work when a letter came around stating that Mitt Romney was going to come to our CEO's ranch. He was going to endorse our senator Jim Risch.
So me and another girl from work decided to go and we got to see Mitt Romney and it just reminded me how much DBop and I wanted him as president.
Being married to DBop, at first I didn't like how into politics he was. But now that I think about it, and DBop tells me this all the time, it is the most crucial time in our lives to choose the right person.
I also heard on tv how we have no reason to complain if we don't vote. We need to be active in picking good leaders who uphold our standards. I think after listening to conference and reading the new statement the church came out about marriage, we have to do something!!
Coming away from seeing Mitt Romney and Senator Risch made me really just want to get out there and study the issues the candidates stand for! Don't just pick someone just because your parents did or because everyone else like them. We can make our own decisions and really make a positive impact on this tainted nation. We need to be proud to be American and do our part in voting for someone who we believe will be the best in helping us uphold our standards of morality.

amen sista!
Girl, I'm glad you feel the same way. I'm so excited to vote!!
Leighanne, thank you so much for this post! I wasn't that into politics before I got married either. However, now that I have more of an understanding of what the heck is going on... it is so important to be involved! I need to study the candidates campaigns more than I have... thanks for the reminder!
Oh, here's my blog! http://makayandalli.blogspot.com
